Today is PRINCIPAL APPRECIATION DAY – a day to honor Sr. Raphael who has been at the helm here at SSJ since 1972!  Sister Raphael was born in Navan, Ireland but has lived here at SS. Simon & Jude most of her life.  Sr. Raphael is well educated with an undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego and two Masters Degrees from Arizona State University.  Sister Raphael is dedicated to her students, past and present, and remembers EVERYONE’s names!  She has provided exemplary leadership throughout her tenure making SSJ a well-respected school with a standard of excellence that is well known throughout the Diocese.   Her name is synonymous with academic excellence, compassion, service, unending determination, enthusiasm and love for children.  She is a lover of sports, especially tennis, and she’s SSJ’s best cheerleader!  We are so very lucky, so very blessed to have the BEST Principal any school could ever ask for!  Please keep Sr. Raphael in your prayers today on Principal Appreciation Day and know that you are never far from her heart and the hearts of all the Loreto Sisters.  God Bless You Sister Raphael – you are an inspiration to us all!
