Be Kind People Project – 6th Grade & Kindergarten Buddies
Earlier this spring, K-1 students created a BE KIND quilt, and a team of sixth graders made a video (featured at a previous Wednesday assembly) which incorporated the qualities promoted by the BE KIND PEOPLE PROJECT: to be encouraging, supportive, positive, helpful, honest, considerate, thankful, responsible, respectful, and a friend.
Both the quilt and the video were named winners in a nationwide contest. Two members of the BE KIND crew came Friday and treated all the Kindergartners and sixth graders to a pizza lunch after teaching the students a flash mob dance based on the qualities mentioned above. Students also received T-shirts to promote the BE KIND philosophy.
A great time was had by all!
