I am a Chicago native who joined the SSJ community in 2011 after my family relocated to Phoenix.  In Illinois I taught third and fourth grades in the public school system while my own children attended Catholic school.  I was excited to have an opportunity to teach here at Ss. Simon and Jude where I am able to live and share my faith while modeling Catholic values to my students.  The faculty and staff are so supportive and always have the best interests of the children at heart.  I have been impressed by the numerous opportunities students have to participate in sports, music, theater, and community service.

Mrs. Kathi Stalzer

Mrs. Kathi Stalzer has been teaching Spanish at SSJ since 2011. She is married to Mark and they have five children—three who are SSJ alumni. She was born and raised in a devout Mexican Catholic family and attended Catholic elementary and high school in Tucson, AZ. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, an Academic Certificate in Language Studies, and completed her M.Ed. through the University of Mary in the spring of 2018. Along with teaching Spanish, she is the technology coach for staff and students. When she isn’t fixing iPads or making a computer do what she wants, she loves to read. She taught choir and general music in the Cartwright District, gave private piano lessons, and was a church choir director for many years. ☘
