The purpose of the board is to function as an advisory body to the pastor and the principal in matters relating to Ss. Simon and Jude School. The board has the following specific responsibilities:
The purpose of the board is to function as an advisory body to the pastor and the principal in matters relating to Ss. Simon and Jude School. The board has the following specific responsibilities:
a) To promote a clear understanding and communication of the mutual educational responsibility of parent, teachers and the school's administration.b) To develop and recommend, with the leadership of the principal, policies to the pastor (which shall be compatible with diocesan policies) to assist the principal in his/her administration of the school.
c) To develop, in consultation with the principal and subject to the pastor's approval, an annual budget for the school and propose funding sources for the budget.
d) To consult with the pastor in connection with the pastor's hiring of a principal.
e) To assist the school in achieving it's goal of providing quality Catholic education to students.
