When can I register my child for the upcoming school year?
Beginning in October of the current school year, you may register for the following school year. For all the necessary information on how to enroll your child at SS. Do the students wear uniforms?
Yes, school uniforms have traditionally been a hallmark of Catholic education, for several reasons:
- Their use fosters a sense of unity and solidarity among the students
- Uniforms help to promote an environment of equality among students
- Use of uniforms eliminates difficulties in clothing selection for both students and parents
What are your hours?
Our school day begins at 7:45 am and dismisses at 2:45 pm, Monday thru Thursday. On Fridays, our school day is from 7:45 am until 1:00 pm.
Can I come and take a tour of your school?
We also provide tours of the school at your convenience. Please call the Development Office at 602-242-1299, extension 125, to schedule your tour.
What method of discipline is utilized at SS. Simon & Jude Cathedral School?
We use the Discipline with Purpose method and information can be found on this website under the “About Us” tab titled DISCIPLINE WITH PURPOSE. Their is also a booklet available in the Parent Resource Area of the School Library.
How often do the children attend Mass during the school year? Can I attend?
All students attend Mass at 8:30 a.m. on Fridays. Parents & Grandparents are always welcome! We are sure you will find it to be a beautiful, spiritual, and personal experience as each Mass is focused on teaching God’s Word to our students.
Does the school have a Before Care or After Care program?
Yes, the school has both! You may drop off your student at 7:00 a.m. to the School Library for an early arrival to school. The after school program is offered to all students in grades Pre-K – 6. The program includes required homework time, enrichment activities, recess and snack. The teacher to student ratio is 1:10. Children may attend full-time, part-time, or on a drop-in basis. Registration is required.
