Ss. Simon & Jude School

SS. Simon & Jude Cathedral School is proud of its many accomplishments!  Here are just a few things that have us smiling these days . . .

  • Sister Raphael Quinn, I.B.V.M. has been at SSJ for over 50 years, and principal for 44 years.  Sister Raphael celebrated her Golden Jubilee – 50 years as a Loreto Sister – in 2009, and her 40th Anniversary as Principal in November, 2012.
  • Honeywell Aerospace Champions in 2016!! Also won in 2001, 2004, 2011, and 2015 and have made it to the finals 12 times!
  • 41 Christian Service Award recipients.
  • 120 Eagle Scouts!
  • 8th Grade CYAA Football Champions in 2012!
  • 8th Grade CYAA Softball Champions in 2011!
  • 8th Grade CYAA Baseball Champions in 2011 and 2012!
  • 7th Grade CYAA Baseball Champions in 2011!
  • 3900 Alumni – 1 of every 8 students is the child of an alum
  • Our school auction has raised over $1,000,000.00 for the school.
  • If you totaled up how long our teachers have been teaching here at SSJ, it would be over 250 years.  We also have seven staff members who are alums of the school.
  • Our SCRIP program includes a tuition rebate incentive program that last year provided 120 families with over $30,000.00 in tuition assistance to help offset the cost of their child’s education.
  • SIX MILLION DOLLARS IN CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS!  In 2010, after a successful capital campaign, we were able to build and open our new 22,000 square foot multi-purpose building, Our Lady of Loreto Center, which includes junior high classrooms, a state of the art Science Lab, and a gymnasium/auditorium.  In 2011 all of our existing classrooms received a “facelift” and in 2013 our Library was completely remodeled.  Our campus continues to get better and better every year!
