Kindergarten

Mrs. Lacey Bons, ‘96, has been teaching Kindergarten at SSJ for the past three years.  Her favorite part of teaching at SSJ is when past students keep coming back to say “HI!”  “Knowing that they felt safe and loved in my classroom is very important.”

Mrs. Stacia Statt, ‘85, has been teaching at SSJ since 1999.  She says, “I am honored to work with Sister Raphael.  It is special to me to continue to have her spiritual and educational influence in my life as a teacher.”

Our classrooms are faith based and everyday teachings revolve around our Catholic beliefs. I teach through science units with a strong reading and writing program. The following are highlights of our year:

Guess which student below is Stacia’s husband Steve (’84)?  In Steve’s era there was an annual tee ball game with the kindergarten classes.  Stacia brought back the annual game between the “Jets” and “Bombers” and the game is once again a big event for the whole school.
