JUNIOR HIGH
✝ Mrs. Sue Kelling began teaching at Ss. Simon and Jude in 2002. She has been
teaching middle school mathematics since 1987. One of her favorite memories
is that of the Loreto Sisters performing at the auctions (Priceless!!). She says,
“I have many daily special moments at SSJ, and I am blessed.”
✝ Mrs. Mary Sue Palazzolo has been teaching at
SSJ since 1999. She teaches seventh and eighth
grade literature, and is also in charge of the
annual SSJ Talent Show, which showcases some of
our awesome talent here at SSJ!
✝ Mrs. Amy McNair began teaching at SS. Simon and Jude in 2008, and we are
blessed to have her with us! She teaches seventh and eighth grade English, and
is also the Student Council Moderator.
✝ Mr. Larry Billar has been teaching at SSJ since
1989. He says, “I love being a teacher, first and
foremost. I take great pride in getting kids to
work well that struggle academically. I love our
faith-filled and Gospel-based atmosphere here at
SSJ. I also enjoy being part of a vibrant
community such as this one.”
✝ Mrs. Sally O’Neill Pisciotta has taught at SSJ since 2003. She currently
teaches seventh grade religion and does resource teaching as well. She is also
our Liturgy Coordinator and New Teacher Mentor.

✝ Mrs. Maureen Hill has been teaching in the
Diocese of Phoenix since 1995, and began
teaching at SSJ in 1998. She is currently the
seventh and eighth grade science teacher, as well
as the Science Curriculum Committee
Chairperson. She completed her Masters of
Education in Curriculum and Instruction in ‘05, and
is a member of NSTA (National Science Teachers
Association), ASTA (Arizona Science Teachers
Association), and AIAA (American Institute of
Aeronautics and Astronautics). Using the new state-of-the-art science labs, Mrs. Hill strives to allow students the opportunity to experience valid success related to science, and enable them to enter high school with an open mind related to their interest in and the possibility of pursuing a science-related career. She says, “Science is everywhere and should be experienced, not simply studied in a classroom or read in a textbook.”
