SS. Simon & Jude Catholic School

When can I register my child for the upcoming school year?

Beginning in October of the current school year, you may

register for the following school year.  You will be placed

on our wait list until our current school families register

in March.  After all our current school families are

registered, we  begin the process of accepting new

school families.  All prospective families will meet with

our principal for an interview and will be contacted

shortly thereafter for acceptance.

Do the students wear uniforms?

Yes, school uniforms have traditionally been a hallmark of

Catholic education, for several reasons:

  1. Their use fosters a sense of unity and solidarity among the students

  2.   Uniforms help to promote an environment of equality among students

  3.   Use of uniforms eliminates difficulties in clothing selection for both students and  parents

What are your hours?

Our school day begins at 7:45 am and dismisses at

2:45 pm, Monday thru Thursday.  On Fridays, our

school day is from 7:45 am until 1:00 pm.

Can I come and take a tour of your school?

We have an annual Open House in late January to kick

off Catholic Schools Week and give comprehensive

tours of the school at that time.  The Open House will

begin with 9:00 am Mass in the Cathedral, followed by tours, etc. of the school, beginning at 10:00 am. If you are unable to attend the Open House we  also provide tours on the first Wednesday of each month.  Simply call the Development Office at 602-242-1300, extension 125 to  arrange for this.
