SS. Simon & Jude Catholic School
SS. Simon & Jude Catholic School
FOURTH GRADE
✝ Sr. Donna McGahey began teaching fourth grade at Ss. Simon and Jude in 1990.
Having been employed at SSJ since 1982 and living as a Loreto Sister
for eight years, she has seen two generations pass through our school, and
three former students employed as teachers here. She says, “I was here when
Pope John Paul II and Mother Theresa visited. I love being part of something
bigger than myself - the history of Ss. Simon and Jude School and Parish.”
✝ Mrs. Thea Kolb had her first teaching stint at SSJ in 1973, teaching sixth
grade. She returned in 1999 and has been teaching fourth grade here ever
since. She says, “I enjoy working at Ss. Simon and Jude immensely because
of the fantastic people that are a part of the SSJ community. Besides being
a mother, I think teaching is one of the most important jobs in the world. I
feel very fortunate to have chosen teaching as my profession. I love it!”
✝ Mrs. Sara Miller began teaching in 1995, and her
first year at SSJ was in 2009. She currently
teaches fourth grade math, social studies, and
science. She says, “The reason I teach is because
I love kids and I love school! I have three daughters,
one of whom graduated from SSJ, and the other two are current students
here. We discovered SSJ through our babysitter’s family - and we are so glad
that we did!”
