3rd Grade - Mrs. Teslevich
Mrs. Ann Teslevich, ‘67, has been teaching at SSJ since 1994. One of her funniest and most embarrassing moments was: “During a morning math lesson, my slip fell down to my feet.”
I am here at SS.Simon and Jude because I feel the presence of Jesus
here. SS. Simon and Jude is a family and we take care of and support
each other when life sends us struggles.
For fifteen years I have been teaching, and have been so blessed to
teach thirteen of those years here at Sts. and Simon and Jude.
My proudest moment as a teacher was when my class and I were able to
transform a mean-hearted, angry child from war-torn Kosovo, into a
kind, happy and hard-working classmate whom we all grew to love dearly.
The most exciting event of third grade is in the spring, when the
students receive the Holy Spirit in Confirmation and Jesus in First
Communion.
The most challenging skill for third graders at Ss. Simon and Jude is
to learn, remember and use all 144 multiplication and division facts.
Math becomes their favorite subject class because of the multitude of
fun math games we play to accomplish this seemingly insurmountable task.
How lucky I am to be a part of a student-parent-teacher-administration
partnership that strives to mold young people with strong moral
values, enabling them to make a positive difference in our ever-
changing and sometimes confused society.
