3rd Grade - Mrs. Evans
3rd Grade - Mrs. Evans
This will be Mrs. Kathy Evans’ fourth year teaching at SSJ. She has been teaching a total of 10 years. One of her funniest memories is: “One day during a lesson, a number of students were saying, ‘but I…, but if…, but when…,’ - and finally I said, “There will be no ‘buts” in class today.” Well, I had 30 students laughing so hard and saying ‘she said buts,’ that it was the end of our lesson.”
I have been a parishioner at Ss. Simon and Jude for 18 years. I’ve been teaching Third Grade here for 5 years. Our son is a graduate of SSJ and our daughter is currently in 3rd Grade.
The thing I love about SSJ is the loving, caring, supportive community. My students are wonderful children eager to learn. Some of the awesome concepts covered in Third Grade include: cursive, multiplication, division, maps, our communities near and far, pumpkinology, Famous American Reports, Molly’s Pilgrim, The Best Christmas Pagaent Ever, Charlotte’s Web to just mention a few.
We also take field trips to Tolmachoff Farms and the Wild Life Zoo.
Our days go so fast because we have a lot of fun learning.
