

This year's "Building Bucks for College" was a great success. "We are just thrilled to have so many student participate in the promotion. The number of pages read was 340,124. That's very close to our all-time record", said Mrs. Betty Moreno, Librarian. For the past two weeks the Library was quite the center of activity. In fact, on February 19th the promotion recorded the largest total of pages read in a single day with 40,548 pages!
This year's reading promotion's theme is focused on the accumulation of "bucks" (dollars) for a college education. Each page read equates to $25 dollars earned to apply to the cost of college.
    
Each student that reads, tests & passes an AR quiz will be credited with the number of pages that were read. An account card will be given to each participating student to track the number of pages he or she reads. A trip to the Prize Basket will be given to the students for each account card completed (250 pages read).
